Aiwan Pavilion
One of China's Four Great Pavilions, first built in the 57th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1792), originally named Hongye Pavilion (Red Leaf Pavilion). Later renamed by Bi Yuan, the Governor of Huguang, after Du Mu's poem "Parking the cart to sit and admire the maple woods at dusk, the frosted leaves are redder than February flowers". The pavilion has a double-eave octagonal structure with glazed green tiles and upturned corners, surrounded by maple trees, making it an ideal place to admire maple leaves.
Yuelu Academy
One of China's Four Great Ancient Academies, first built in the 9th year of the Kaibao reign of the Northern Song Dynasty (976). With a history of over a thousand years, it has always been a center of education. Most of the existing buildings are relics from the Ming and Qing dynasties, including the main gate, second gate, lecture hall, and imperial book building. The plaque "Yuelu Academy" was inscribed by Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, making it an important birthplace of Huxiang culture.
Orange Island
The largest famous island in the Xiangjiang River, stretching from south to north across the river center, with Yuelu Mountain to the west and Changsha City to the east, surrounded by water for dozens of miles. At the head of the island stands the artistic sculpture of young Mao Zedong, recreating the image of "Just as we were young, in the prime of our lives".
