East Lake Scenic Area

Golden Summit
The highest peak of Wudang Mountain, with an elevation of 1,612 meters. The Golden Hall on the summit was built in the 14th year of the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty and is the largest existing bronze gilded hall in China. The hall enshrines the statue of the deity Zhenwu Dadi, surrounded by bronze railings. The entire structure is exquisitely crafted and is the iconic building of Wudang Mountain.
Purple Cloud Palace
One of the best-preserved palaces on Wudang Mountain, first built during the Xuanhe period of the Northern Song Dynasty. The palace is built against the mountain, with layers upon layers, displaying majestic grandeur. The palace preserves a large number of precious Taoist cultural relics and murals and is an important site for Taoist activities on Wudang Mountain.
South Cliff Palace
The most beautiful of the thirty-six cliffs of Wudang Mountain, built in the 22nd year of the Zhiyuan reign of the Yuan Dynasty. The palace is embedded on the cliff face, overlooking deep abysses, with architecture perfectly integrated with nature. The most famous feature is the Dragon Head Stone extending from the cliff, on which the famous "Dragon Head Incense" is placed.

Ancient Longzhong
The seclusion place of the famous Three Kingdoms period politician and strategist Zhuge Liang. The scenic area includes historical sites such as Wuhou Temple, Sangu Hall, and Thatched Cottage Pavilion, recreating the historical scenes of Zhuge Liang "ploughing the fields" and Liu Bei "making three visits to the thatched cottage." It is an important historical site of Three Kingdoms culture.
Tangcheng Film and Television Base
A film and television shooting base with the theme of flourishing Tang Dynasty culture, covering 600 acres. The scenic area includes structures such as Zhuque Corridor, Qianbu Corridor, Hongqiao Bridge, and Huyu Tower, recreating the prosperous scene of Chang'an City during the Tang Dynasty. It is the filming location for many film and television works including "Legend of the Demon Cat."
