Baofeng Lan Guo Cai (Mixed Pot Dish)

A famous specialty dish of Baofeng, made with local free-range pork belly, handmade meatballs, seasonal vegetables, etc. Stir-fried with secret sauce and then braised, it is salty, fragrant and slightly spicy with strong wok aroma. It got its name from the scene where artists at the Majie Storytelling Fair ate around the pot, known as the "No.1 Quyi Dish".

Lamb Soup

A classic breakfast in Baofeng. Boil fresh lamb and lamb bones for several hours to make soup. When eating, scoop hot soup to scald cooked lamb slices, sprinkle with scallions and coriander, and serve with baked wheaten cake. The soup is clear, the meat is fragrant, and it is especially warming to eat in cold winter.

Zhaiji Rice Vinegar

A national geographical indication product, produced in Zhaiji Town, Baofeng County. It is brewed with sorghum and millet as raw materials through the traditional "solid-state fermentation" process. It has a bright red color and mellow sour taste, with a history of more than 3,000 years, and is an excellent condiment for Henan cuisine.

Crispy Baked Wheaten Cake

A common street snack in Baofeng, made with flour as the main ingredient, with distinct layers, crispy outer skin and soft inner flesh. It can be eaten with meat or vegetables. Because it is easy to carry, it was a staple food for artists at the Majie Storytelling Fair, and now it has become a standard breakfast locally.
