The iconic food of Xinye, said to be created by Zhang Fei during the Three Kingdoms period. Characterized by "chewy and smooth", the noodles are hand-pulled, served with saozi (minced meat sauce) boiled with mutton, chili and other ingredients, spicy and delicious, known as "Famous Chinese Snack".
A traditional pasta in Xinye, named after the legend related to Zhang Fei. Compared with ordinary Banmian Noodles, its saozi pays more attention to the fresh fragrance of mutton and the mellow taste of chili, and the noodles are more chewy, being a highly representative food of the local area.
