Hometown of Chinese ancient papermaking art, completely preserving the Tang Dynasty papermaking techniques. It was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.

Kala Birdcage Village

Hometown of Chinese birdcage art, the Miao birdcage making has a history of 400 years. Every household in the village makes birdcages with exquisite craftsmanship, known as "art on the fingertips", and the products are sold at home and abroad. You can experience birdcage weaving craftsmanship.

Gaoyao Terraces

One of the most beautiful terraces in Guizhou, thousands of mu of terraces are built along the mountains, winding from the foot of the mountain to the top. In spring, the water shimmers; in summer, the green waves ripple; in autumn, the rice waves are golden, forming a magnificent landscape of "the palette of the earth".

Paimo Batik Village

The core inheritance place of Miao batik art, known as "the first dyeing in the East". The village retains the complete batik making process. Must-Try Foods in Danzhai County

Danzhai Fighting Chicken

A national geographical indication product, using local fighting chicken breeds. The meat is firm with delicate muscle fibers, which can be cooked as dry pot, braised in soy sauce or stewed in soup. Known as "fighting chicken is as nutritious as ginseng", it is the highest etiquette for the Miao people to receive guests.

Miao King Fish

A traditional delicacy of the Miao people in Danzhai, made with rice field carp simmered slowly with green peppers, tomatoes, etc. The fish meat is tender, and the soup is sour and slightly spicy.
