Thousand-Buddha Pagoda
A key provincial cultural relics protection unit, first built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming dynasty. The pagoda is 33 meters tall, octagonal with thirteen stories, embedded with 1,080 small pottery Buddha statues exquisitely crafted. Inside, a spiral staircase leads to the top for a panoramic view of the city. One of Pingyuan's "Eight Ancient Scenes."
Wenchang Pavilion
First built during the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty to commemorate the Wenchang Emperor, the existing structure was rebuilt in the Qing dynasty. A pavilion-style building with upturned eaves, housing a statue of Wenchang. In ancient times, scholars prayed here for blessings. The pavilion preserves several inscribed stone tablets from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Three Kingdoms Culture Square
An urban square themed on the history of Pingyuan Commandery during the Three Kingdoms period. Features statues of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei, a "Peach Garden Oath" relief wall, and a comic strip display area of "Liu Bei the Magistrate of Pingyuan," recreating the historical scene of Liu Bei "repelling external enemies and pacifying the people internally."
Pingyuan Food Street
