Fengxian specialty, made from local goats. Bone broth is simmered, lamb slices are repeatedly scalded with hot soup, served with cilantro and chili. The soup is milky white, the meat tender and the flavor rich.
Fengxian traditional breakfast, made with leavened dough wrappers filled with pork or vegetable filling. First pan-fried, then steamed and finally simmered, resulting in a golden crispy bottom and fluffy top, served with vinegar for a unique flavor.
Legend says this was Liu Bang's favorite porridge, made from millet and cornmeal, cooked with peanuts and beans. Thick in texture and rich in nutrition, it is a traditional Fengxian breakfast.
