First built during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, it was constructed to commemorate officials who made meritorious contributions to Yellow River governance. Integrating the architectural styles of government offices, temples and ancestral halls, it is known as the 'Yellow River Forbidden City'. It houses the imperial stele inscribed by Emperor Yongzheng and the Yellow River Governance Meritorious Officials Hall, etc. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and an important physical object for studying the history of Yellow River governance.
Miaole Temple Pagoda
A densely eave brick pagoda first built in the Tang Dynasty, it is a national key cultural relic protection unit. The pagoda is 34.19 meters high, square-shaped with thirteen levels, and the tower body is exquisitely carved. It has been well preserved despite multiple earthquakes and is an outstanding representative of existing Tang Dynasty brick pagodas in China.
Wuzhi Old Town Street
An ancient street retaining the style from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China, with time-honored shops and traditional dwellings. It is full of oil tea shops and donkey meat restaurants. Lanterns are hung high at night, allowing you to experience the traditional market culture and food customs of Wuzhi.
