The "Liao Dynasty Painted Clay Bodhisattva with Exposed Teeth" in the Sutra Library Hall is known as the "Venus of the East."
Nine-Dragon Screen
National 3A-level scenic spot, built in the 25th year of Hongwu of Ming Dynasty. The largest and best-preserved of China's three existing Nine-Dragon Screens, measuring 45.5 m long, 8 m high, and 2.02 m thick, assembled from 426 glazed components with lifelike dragon shapes.
Fahua Temple
First built in the Ming Dynasty, famous for its white Lamaist pagoda about 20 meters tall. The temple preserves a large number of Ming Dynasty sculptures and murals, serving as important material evidence for studying Ming Dynasty Buddhist art.

Datong Knife-cut Noodles

Traditional Shanxi pasta. Datong knife-cut noodles are famous for the skill of "one leaf falls into the pot, one leaf floats, one leaf leaves the blade and another cuts out." The noodles are thick in the middle and thin at the edges, shaped like willow leaves, served with minced meat sauce or tomato egg gravy, chewy and smooth.

Datong Hotpot

Northern Shanxi specialty cuisine, using a copper hotpot with charcoal fire in the middle, old chicken soup as the base. Ingredients are layered: top layer with seafood and delicacies, middle with meat, bottom with vegetables. Cooked while eating, warm and cozy, suitable for winter consumption.

Hunyuan Cold Noodles
